Advanced design, experience and top quality engineering produce a proven, unmatched workhorse.

The Fokker50Freighter offers a two cargo door concept with integrated E-Class configuration to speed up the (un)loading process. The front fuselage structure has been re-designed and re-enforced to ensure the flawless operation of the new forward cargo door. To meet the FAA safety requirements, the forward large cargo door includes a newly designed primary locking mechanism and can only be activated from the outside. The door is electrically operated and opens to a maximum 170-degree position by simply pushing the door activator.

The forward large cargo door measures 2.34m x1.77 m (92.1”x69.7”) is at waist high level (1.1 m/ 3ft.3”) for easy access. It offers a no-obstacle-zone opening for container/pallet loading measuring 2.03 m x 0.73 m (80”x68”). The forward large cargo door has a straight piano-type hinge able to withstand wind velocities of 60 mph.

The express cargo door in the rear for last minute loading measures 0.86 m x1.27 m (34”x50”) also accommodates europallets. The forward crew door 0.61 m x 1.27 m (24”x50”).

An easily accessible and comprehensive three-battery system to facilitate independent operations has been installed replacing the underfloor two-battery battery system.

There is no need for additional ground loading equipment since all doors are at truck-bed level.
